Two wounded Chinese peacekeepers have been sent to Senegal for further treatment because there was inadequate medical equipment at the U.N. mission base in Mali. They are now at Principal Hospital in Dakar.

2 Chinese peacekeepers sent to Dakar for treatment

A doctor from China’s peacekeeping troops said both were severely wounded, but their conditions have since stabilized.

Two other wounded Chinese peacekeepers remained in Gao for treatment, having suffered less severe injuries.
