The European Union adopted a series of measures in the aftermath of the 2008 economic crisis to enforce stronger supervision and better regulation to maintain financial stability. So have things improved? Well, the European banking sector is once again facing tough challenges ranging from a potential Brexit to fears of a rising banking crisis on the continent.
