The special working group sent by the Chinese military arrived at the United Nations Multi-dimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali camp in Gao on Saturday.
The relief goods raised by the Chinese Embassy to Mali and Chinese enterprises in Mali also arrived around the same time. Chinese ambassador to Mali, Lu Huiying, said the special working group will stay in Gao for two to three days.
Their main duties will be to convey condolences to the officers and soldiers and help them deal with the aftermath. The attack in Gao happened on Tuesday evening, leaving one Chinese peacekeeper killed, and four others injured.
