Roller Skating Marathon in the Chinese city of Harbin
This is the biggest roller skating event held in the capital city of Heilongjiang Province. Those in attendance could participate in up to seven disciplines, including a marathon, 20-kilometer, 10-kilometer, and five-kilometer race.
World long track speed skating and Asian Games champion Song Qingyang of Chinese Taipei, along with China's Wang Beixing, who is a Vancouver Winter Olympics bronze medalist, would also take part in the competition, and lead a race.
"I'm happy to take part in this national fitness event, as a roller skating lover, and a professional athlete. I announced my retirement recently, but my love for sport remains the same," said Wang Beixing.
