Extreme weather continues to wreck havoc in Southern China. Over in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, downpours have been pounding most areas across the region for four days.

Though the intensity of rainfall is weakening, local authorities say 12 major rivers in the region continue to swell, and water levels have reached above dangerous levels.

Flooding has cut off roads and ruined farming lands, causing a direct financial loss of 10 million US dollars. The national weather authority forecasts more rain in the coming days, saying this is just the start of the flood season.
