Shanghai Disneyland will hold its three-day grand opening ceremony starting from Tuesday, greeting its fans with a specially made Chinese version of the Broadway classic musical The Lion King.

The Wednesday show will be aired live on Dragon TV, with artists performing during the event. The resort will be formally open to the public at noon on Thursday. 

During its trial operation, the theme park has received over 500,000 visitors, with many long queues. To handle a possible larger number of customers, Shanghai Disneyland said it's working on adjusting the entry limit and other services to ensure a better entertainment experience to visitors.
