Apple has some new moves announced at this year's Worldwide Developers Conference in San Francisco on Monday, though not so exciting as previous ones.

At the beginning of the meeting, the company's Chief Executive Tim Cook asked for a moment of silence for the victims of Sunday's mass shooting in Orlando, Florida.

Then he said that Apple is opening its Siri digital assistant to outside developers, a move to allow users to operate apps or search for photos and files with their voice commands.

The company also delivered other news, such as a new operating system for the Apple Watch, adding Siri's artificial intelligence to its messaging app and changing its operating system to macOS. Apple's shares were down 1.51 percent, closing at 97.34 U.S. dollars per share on Monday.
