The event is taking place in China’s southwestern province of Yunnan. Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi has held talks with officials from Laos, Vietnam, and Singapore.
They agreed to boost cooperation and to resolve disputes in the South China Sea through peaceful means. The meeting is part of the preparation work for the China-ASEAN Summit to be held in Laos in September.
