France's largest labor union is holding a demonstration in Paris to remind the government that many French people still oppose government plans to reform national labor laws.
Police estimate 390,000 took to the streets to protest the reforms. While opposition activists put the number at 1.2 million. Philippe Martinez, leader of CGT labor union, accused the government of ignoring public unease over a reform that would make hiring simpler.
With the Euro 2016 already shining the international spotlight on France, security forces are struggling to maintain order on Paris streets.
