-- Airbus Helicopter has won a firm order for 100 helicopters from China. The order is worth about 1 billion euros. The helicopters will be assembled at a new plant in China's eastern Qingdao city.

-- German automaker Daimler and China's BAIC Motor will invest an additional 4 billion yuan to expand their joint engine plant in Beijing. The two firms started a joint venture in 2005 to produce Mercedez-Benz cars.

-- Lufthansa CEO Carsten Spohr said the company wants to form a codeshare agreement with China's flag carrier Air China. The two companies' senior management will meet to discuss details of the agreement. Spohr hopes the agreement can be signed during Chancellor Merkel's state visit to China.
