South Africa where the sentencing hearing for Oscar Pistorius' murder conviction came to an end following three days in court. The paralympian known as the Blade Runner shot and killed his then girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp in 2013, and although her mother says she has forgiven him, lead prosecutor Gerrie Nel reminded the judge that justice must be served.

Judge Thokozile Masipa adjourned the case on Wednesday after three days of testimony and arguments in Pistorius' sentencing hearing and said she would announce the athlete's sentence by July 6th.

Pistorius who is known as 'Blade Runner' for the prosthetic blades he wears when sprinting, is currently under house arrest.  The move home took place after serving one year in jail for an initial manslaughter conviction in Steenkamp's shooting death on Valentine's Day in 2013.

That manslaughter conviction was later changed by an appeals court to a more serious murder conviction.  Prosecutors have called for a 15-year jail sentence for Pistorius, the minimum sentence for murder in South Africa.
