To tennis, as the sport prepares for its third Grand Slam tournament of the season, Wimbledon. And with Novak Djokovic recently winning the French Open to hold all four major trophies at the same time, lots of attention is being focused on the World Number One's home country of Serbia, and its ability to produce a string of top-notch players.

Serbia has a geographical area of 8.83 million square kilometers, and a population of just over seven million people, but the nation's residents include tennis superstars like Ana Ivanovic, Jelena Jankovic, and Novak Djokovic. Nolé’s uncle and boyhood coach Goran is quite proud.

The best Serbian players have become icons at home, and tennis is booming across the country, as more youngsters begin taking up the sport.

Another nation experiencing a similar wave among its youth is China, and officials from Serbia are eager to explore ways the two countries can develop the sport together.

One feature Chinese administrators have taken note of, is the widespread presence of tennis courts in Serbian cities and towns, and those working on development plans are convinced that a similar approach in the PRC would surely reap tremendous dividends in the future.
