Chinese President Xi Jinping has embarked on his three-state tour to Serbia, Poland and Uzbekistan.

Just minutes ago, he landed at the airport in Belgrade, the Serbian capital for his first stop. He will be meeting with his Serbian counterpart Tomislav Nikolic.

President Xi has a packed schedule during his three day stay in the nation. Events he will be attending include a cooperation deal-signing ceremony, a visit to a local steel mill acquired earlier this year by a Chinese company, as well as laying a cornerstone with the Serbian President for a Chinese cultural center in the capital city.

Also notably, this is the first visit by a Chinese president to the nation in its present and past form, in over three decades.
