Studio interview: Poland visit following trip to Serbia

For more on the background to Xi Jinping's state visit to Poland, we are joined now in the studio by Cui Hongjian, director of the Department for European Studies of China Institute of International Studies.

Q1. It's been 12 years since the last state visit to Polan by a sitting Chinese leader? Why is Poland on the agenda this time?

Q2. President Xi quoted Polish scientist Marie Curie in a published article, saying "I never see what has been done; I only see what remains to be done." So what exactly are expected from this visit?

Q3. What have been the major fields of collaboration between China and Poland up to now and can we expect any breakthrough or expansion of cooperation following this visit?

Q4. Poland has maintained a reasonably steady rate of growth in recent years, especially given the turmoil in Europe following the financial crisis of 2008. What's the reason for this success?

Q5. Several countries in the EU are experiencing economic challenges and issues relating to immigration. To what extent will these factors play a part in Poland's development?

Q6. Analysts say the fact that Poland is a member nation of the EU gives China a good opportunity to enter other EU countries. Do you think that's the case? What makes this bilateral relationship so special?
