The United Kingdom decides in two days whether to stay in the European Union. The latest polls indicate that Thursday's referendum could go either way. Though the vote has been overshadowed by the murder of pro-EU Labour lawmaker Jo Cox last week.

An ORB survey for the Daily Telegraph showed "Remain" on 49 percent, unchanged from a week earlier, while "Leave" was up three points to 47 percent. A second poll by YouGov for The Times showed "Leave" taking a slim lead of 44 percent support versus 42 percent for "Remain". The Guardian and the Daily Telegraph newspapers used their front pages to endorse opposite sides of the campaign. The Guardian stood with the "remain" side, while the Daily Telegraph supported leaving the bloc. EU president Donald Tusk wrote on Twitter that "Whatever the UK vote is, we must take a long hard look on the future of the Union.". And Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn, who is campaigning for "Remain", said whatever the result, the EU needs to reform.
