China Internet Conference kicks off in Beijing

The China Internet Conference has opened in Beijing. Over three days, government officials, industry representatives, experts and researchers will gather to talk about topics including e-commerce, Internet plus, cloud computing, and cyber security.

China has more than 688 million internet users with 620 million mobile users today. The industry has seen rapid growth in the past two decades due to its large population of internet users. And... there is still room for more innovation and development. So that's why the annual China Internet Conference attracts hundreds of thousands of attendees every year.

"In 1994, China's internet technology reached out to the world. In 2016, more than 390 million families have installed fibre optical cables in their homes in China. The three day event aims to review development, and offer platforms for industry insiders to discuss a full range of issues regarding cyberspace, innovation and society. The Internet Plus strategy, the integration of cloud-computing technology, big data and the internet of things into manufacturing are hot topics.

"We're quite intrested in how big data changes our life. So we come to the conference to see what other companies' perspectives in this area," CEO of Datayuan.com Mu Lei said.
