Nature magazine will publish its Chinese special edition on Thursday this week. Focusing on the rapid development of Chinese science and the people behind it, the edition is expected to introduce 10 of China's leading scientists.
The list includes Gao Caixia, the first to use the CRISPR-Cas9 gene-editing technique on wheat and rice; Wang Yifang, who discovered a new moving pattern in neutrino movement; Lu Chaoyang, the rising star in China's quantum-information technology; and Cui Weicheng, lead developer of the manned deep-sea submersible Jiaolong.
