Zhou Qi's CBA club, the Xinjiang Flying Tigers, who helped the center improve his game over the last couple of seasons have congratulated their young player on being selected in the draft.

Minutes after Zhou's name was called, the franchise posted an announcement on their twitter page. The statement said his selection is the pride of the Xinjiang team and China. They added that they hope he can overcome any difficulties he might face in the future, even though he wasn't selected as early as the club had expected. 

Zhou as we have mentioned earlier has been a key player for the Flying Tigers since he joined the club two years ago. He signed a contract of five million yuan a year, and helped Xinjiang make the playoffs last season, where they made it to the CBA Semi-Finals.
