Chinese Super League: Guoan beats Shenhua 2-1

To domestic action from here in China -- where Beijing Guoan welcomed Shanghai Shenhua in the China derby. The capital club, after getting off to a horrible start, have found their form, and it coincided when coach Alberto Zaccheroni stepped down. The hosts have picked up two wins and one draw in their last three games, and were looking to extend that at the Workers' Stadium

Former Beijing Guoan coach Gregorio Manzano returns to the Workers' Stadium for the first time since he took charge of Shanghai Shenhua this season.

In other action -- Bolivian forward Macelo Moreno of Changchun Yatai scored on a free-kick to give his side a 1-nil win over Henan Jianye. Hangzhou Greentown picked up their first win in 12 matches after beating Hebei Fortune 1-nil. And Jean Evrard and Hui Jiakang score for SIPG and Tianjin Teda in a 1-1 draw.

To the standings, Evergrande have a 6-point lead over Hebei. Jiangsu sit third, seven back of the defending champs in first. And after their early season slump, Guoan have been able to move into the top eight with their victory.
