Hosts France will face surprise package Iceland in the quarter-finals in Paris. Les Bleus must win to continue their quest to win the UEFA premier title on home soil for the second time.

Didier Deschamps' side come into the match as overwhelming favourites against a country with a population of just 330-thousand. Iceland have taken the competition by storm, stunning England in the last 16.

France, have the edge over their opponent, as they are unbeaten in 11 matches with the Scandinavians, recording eight wins and three draws, with 30 goals scored and 8 conceded.

With Adil Rami suspended, Deschamps is set to hand 22-year-old Samuel Umtiti his international debut alongside Laurent Koscielny in defence.

N'Golo Kante is also serving a one-match ban with Kingsley Coman, Moussa Sissoko and Yohan Cabaye all candidates to replace him.

The pressure now is on the hosts as they look to repeat their feats at the 1984 Euros and the 1998 World Cup by winning a major tournament on home soil.

"There have been surprises since the start of the competition, and we realize that being a big nation and playing attractive football is not enough to make it to the Last Four. It shows that we're back to values such as the importance of a team mindset, team values. It's mental strength that makes the difference, and that's what we need to qualify," said France Captain Hugo Lloris.
