The new 'core four' of Warriors

The Warriors, who are coming off an NBA record 73 win season will be stacked again next year. The idea is that by adding Durant they will not fail in the championship series this time around, like they did to the Cleveland Cavaliers dropping the series in seven games after holding a 3-1 edge in games.

And if Durant sticks around longer than the two-years, this Warriors team is built to win for years to come. Look at this nucleus. Steph Curry -- the two-time league MVP averaged more than 30 points last year. Before he won the award, K-D got that nod, and he was good for 28-points a game last campaign. Add in Klay Thompson's 22 points, and Draymond Green's 14 points, and that is a formidable foursome. And they are all in their primes, all between 26-and-28.

The only drawback could be the need for rebounding and a shot blocker, as they lost centre Andrew Bogut and forward Harrison Barnes to fit Durant under the salary cap. But maybe with these four on the floor -- they will not have to worry about that.
