Full coverage: The South China Sea Issue

Cambodia's Foreign Ministry has released a statement reiterating that the country will not recognize an arbitration court's upcoming opinion on the South China Sea issue.

In 2013, the Philippines asked the Permanent Court of Arbitration to settle its South China Sea dispute with China without Beijing's consent. Cambodia's foreign ministry has emphasized the arbitration case has nothing to do with ASEAN.

The Ministry also has reiterated that Cambodia will not take part in any joint stance on the arbitral opinion.
