The Moscow to Beijing Silk Way Rally made its first border crossing, as the competitors moved from Russia to Kazakhstan, during Stage Three. This leg was more than 812 kilometers long, and included a 200-kilometer special section, which presented major challenges for the participants.

Peugeot driver Cyril Despres would overpower Yazeed Mohamed Al Rahji to win the stage in the car class, after completing the special section in 1 hour, 56 minutes, 45 seconds.

Mini All-4's Al Rahji crosses the line next, finishing 2 minutes, 40 seconds behind.

Sebastien Loeb pulls off Peugeot's second-best performance, as he sits third in the general classification.

The top Chinese driver is Han Wei, after taking seventh in his new Geely. He is looking to build on his win in May's Taklimakan Rally, which was held in China.

As for the trucks, Andrey Karginov would give Kamaz its first stage win, rumbling to victory in 2 hours, 7 minutes, 51 seconds.

Today's Stage Four takes the drivers from the border town of Kostanay, to Kazakhstan's capital, Astana.
