Silk Way Rally: Final Kazakhstan stretch begins on Saturday

The drivers enjoyed a break on Friday following six days of tough competition on the Silk Way Rally. But they will be back in their vehicles today for the seventh and final stage that measures 419 kilometers and concludes in Beijing. 

Team Peugeot's Cyril Despres has the overall lead after the first six stages with teammate Sebastien Loeb behind him in second, 8 minutes off the pace. Han Wei is the best performer from China having climbed to seventh place. The truck category is headed by Kamaz driver Eduard Nikolaev, with six representatives from Russia making up the top seven. In today's seventh leg, the first 76 kilometers are in Kazakhstan before the drivers cross the border into China.
