The bodies of two Chinese peacekeepers killed in violence in South Sudan are being flown back to China.

The plane is about to land at Xinzheng International Airport in Zhengzhou, capital of Henan province.

A memorial service was held at Entebbe International Airport in Uganda prior to their departure.

Li Lei and Yang Shupeng were killed on July 10th after their armored vehicle was hit by a mortar shell during clashes between rival army factions.

Two other Chinese peacekeepers injured in the incident, as well as 25 Chinese nationals evacuated from South Sudan, are also on their way home.
