The Ministry of Civil Affairs says more than 14 million people in ten provinces across northern China have been affected by natural disasters like floods and hails.
So far, 132 people have been killed, and 113 remain missing. Nearly 500,000 people have been relocated, and nearly 110,000 are in urgent need of life assistance.
The disasters also devastated a large number of houses and crops, causing about 22 billion yuan worth of economic losses. Hebei, Shanxi and Henan provinces were the most severely hit.
