At the meeting, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said the decisions of last year's Forum on China-Africa Cooperation have been implemented, with early-phase achievements made.

"The 10-billion-U.S.-dollar fund for China-Africa industrial capacity cooperation has been launched, and an additional five-billion-U.S.-dollar special loan for the development of small- and medium enterprises in Africa is already in place," Wang said.

Wang said that in the six months following the summit, China and Africa signed 182 agreements in various fields, involving around 32 billion U.S. dollars. He said China and Africa have been making coordinated plans to ensure social and economic benefits from the programs and prevent the risk of burdening Africa with new debt.
