The torch relay for the Olympics is entering its final stages. The flame is now in the state of Rio, which houses the Olympic city of Rio de Janeiro.

Over the last few days, the flame has visited several spots -- including the sunny islands of Ilha Bela and Angra -- where it was carried over land and sea, and met once again by adoring fans.

In Ilha Bela, the torch was lifted by mountain biker, Edivaldo Cruz, who says that holding the Olympic symbol is the most special moment of his life.

The relay will travel more than 20-thousand kilometres around Brazil, before reaching the Olympic stadium.
