In Brazil, the opening ceremony for the Rio Olympics is now just five days away. Everybody involved in the gala, including three film directors, producers, choreographers, and more than 6,000 volunteers, are busy making their final preparations before the actual performance on Friday. 

The official rehearsal for the opening ceremony will be held today in the Maracana Stadium at which time more details of the festivities will be released.

The role of many of the numerous volunteers will be to portray the story of the colonial period in Brazil through traditional dancing.

The rehearsals have been rather challenging as many of the volunteers lack dancing experience, come from different countries, and do not speak the same language.

As a result, the performers have been doing repeated rehearsals since May, and while the process may be exhausting, no one is complaining.

"I know a lot of people there.  I like dancing. I want very much to take part in the opening ceremony. I am very happy when I call to participate it," said Jacqueline, Olympics opening ceremony actress.

"We're doing our best here to show a great Rio. The city is becoming more beautiful and a lot of things are improving. Everyone is convinced that the Olympic Games will be a good experience for everyone in life. I can only hope everything is well," said Julienne, Olympics opening ceremony actress.
