The 2012 Chinese champion was edged out by Australia's Mack Horton. Horton clocked 3-minutes and 41.55-seconds to hold off a feverish challenge. Sun Yang briefly looked to have had the Australian, but settled for second. In today's Olympic series, ON YOUR MARKS, we head to the Badjao community in the Philippines to see how a new program for youth is changing the lives of some kids.

Career choices in the community are generally restricted to one of three things: fishing, diving for pearls or both. But, one local government initiative aims to widen their horizons---- allowing them to learn how to swim with the hopes to become a professional athlete.
