Yesterday Great Britain's Chris Mears and Jack Laugher surprised reigning world champions Qin Kai and Cao Yuan in the three-metre synchronized springboard event to capture gold.

The accomplishment even more amazing because in 2009, Mears, suffered a ruptured spleen, went into a coma and was given a 5-percent chance to live. He was told he would never dive again.

Now he is an Olympic champ, and he discussed his triumph with CCTV's Tracey Holmes.
