Passengers going through Terminal 2 of Beijing Capital International Airport can now enjoy automated border clearance. The immigration process is done through computer automatic identification which only takes six to ten seconds, nearly 3 times faster than manual checks.
Chinese mainland residents with electronic exit-entry permits can enjoy the service. Residents in Hongkong and Macao may also breeze through lines after registering. Foreigners who hold foreign passports, residence permits with more than 6 months and provide fingerprint and facial information to the customs can also use the service.
