China's East China Sea Fleet has conducted a long-range combat drill in the Sea of Japan. Its bomber squadron traveled thousands of kilometers and conducted simulated attacks to improve their capability of continuous strikes at maximum range.

Planes also simulated air-to-ship missile launches against enemy vessels. According to Chinese navy officials, the drill is routine and in accordance with international law, and is not aimed towards any specific country, region or target.
