WHO calls for vaccinations against yellow fever

Meanwhile, the WHO also is urging countries in eastern and central Africa to start vaccinating against yellow fever.

This came out of a WHO regional committee meeting, where countries debated how to strengthen healthcare systems on the continent. The yellow fever outbreak in parts of Africa was high on the agenda.

As no new cases have been reported in Angola over the past six weeks, the WHO switched its focus to the Democratic Republic of Congo and also urged other countries to launch similar mass vaccination drives.
