From the very beginning when Zhang Mengxue shot for China's first gold, to when the country's women's volleyball team fought hard to clench the gold they've craved for over a decade, we've seen from afar so much joy and heartache, kisses and hugs. These heartening moments will surely go down in history as some of the finest of 2016.
