In Malaysia, hundreds of visitors joined journalists and zookeepers to celebrate the tenth birthday of two giant pandas: Xing Xing and Liang Liang. China sent the two pandas to Malaysia in 2014 to mark the 40th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two countries. Xing Xing and Liang Liang have a baby together, a female cub called Nuan Nuan who turned one on Aug 18th.

Facing his crazy fans, Xing Xing seems camera-shy and hides himself out of sight, leaving the limelight to Liang Liang and their baby Nuan Nuan. Staff at Malaysia's National Zoo told CCTV that more than two million visitors have come to see the pandas since they arrived. The Panda House at the zoo has become especially popular since the birth of the panda cub. The zookeepers have made sure that Nuan Nuan, who now weighs around 37 kilograms, is very healthy.

"The birth of the baby panda has brought our two countries closer together. I think it is very appropriate to choose Nuan Nuan as the baby panda's name," said Young Miu Kim, local visitor.

Visitors and journalists flashed their cameras as the pandas walked closer to their special birthday cake, which was prepared by the zoo keepers. But Liang Liang did not show any interest in the delicious birthday cake and spoiled it after sniffing around. It seems that playing with her daughter is more important than eating cake. Nuan Nuan's interactions with her mother captured visitors' hearts, especially one of the young schoolchildren.

"Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday to you!" said a visitor.
