Now that the 2016 Rio Olympics have concluded, the Chinese delegation has begun celebrating and promoting sports.

The group will head to Hong Kong for a series of performances from Saturday to Monday. The tickets for the events have been on sale since Monday and many local residents are eager for the chance to see some of the medalists in person.

All of the gold medalists from Rio are making the trip, including the women’s volleyball coach Lang Ping, table-tennis coach Liu Guoliang, badminton star Lin Dan, sprinter Su Bingtian, and 100-meter backstroke bronze medalist Fu Yuanhui.

There are about 6,600 tickets available for folks to see the athletes in action with a table tennis show on Saturday at Hong Kong’s Elizabeth Stadium followed by a badminton display. China’s diving champions will show their skills in Victoria Park. Later in the afternoon, the delegation will provide further entertainment and give the locals a chance to interact with the athletes.

“My diving technique is not as good, and cannot match theirs. But after watching their performances, I will gain more confidence, and I will dive better,” Hong Kong diver Liao Wanqi said.

“The chance is rare, and it coincides with the summer vacation. I can bring my children to watch it, thus letting them feel the Olympic spirit,” said a Hong Kong resident.
