Another important bill under discussion is the National Defense Traffic Law, which promotes civilian support for the military.

The law committee of the NPC standing committee has suggested more support to facilitate overseas military operations.

China’s overseas missions, and Chinese enterprises in the international transportation industry, should provide assistance to ships, airplanes and vehicles operating military missions. The missions include international relief, maritime escort, and operations protecting China’s overseas interests. The Chinese government should make it easier to enter and leave the country for personnel, equipment and goods, used to assist overseas military operations," Su Zeling, deputy director of Law Committee of NPC Standing Committee, said.
