The 2016 G20 summit is now only days away. Global heads of state are arriving in the eastern Chinese city of Hangzhou, as Singapore's Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong has landed.

Earlier South African President Jacob Zuma and Brazilian President Michel Temer arrived in the host city. They will also meet other BRICS leaders on the sidelines of the G20. It is Temer's first time to attend a G20 summit as President, having recently replaced ousted Dilma Rousseff.

Temer's arrival came shortly after Indonesian President Joko Widodo landed. Indonesia's Foreign Minister says Widodo will bring an agenda of economic and anti-terrorism cooperation to the meeting.

The presidents of Chad and Laos have also arrived in the city. The president of Chad has been invited as the current chair of the African Union. Laos is the ASEAN Chair for 2016.

Earlier, Argentine President Mauricio Macri was the first of G20 world leaders to arrive. This is Macri's first visit to China since taking office in 2015. Argentina will be the host country for the G20 Summit in 2018.
