Chinese President Xi Jinping has also held talks with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Xi Jinping said the two countries have maintained good communications since Turkey hosted last year's G20 summit. He said many agreements on bilateral cooperation reached at that summit have been implemented.

President Xi Jinping said China wishes to further deepen bilateral ties this year, which marks the 45th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic ties between the two countries.
Erdogan agreed that Turkey and China should promote further cooperation within the framework of the G20 summit. He said they should enhance cooperation especially in countering terrorism, promoting investment and implementing China's Belt and Road initiative.
The two leaders also witnessed the signing of a series of agreements on energy and customs and quarantine.
