The 2016 G20 Summit closed today, with the participants reporting productive meetings. Chinese President Xi Jinping has spoken to the press.

He reiterated the five proposals that he made during his opening speech of this year's summit.

President Xi called for stronger international coordination in macroeconomics, innovation in growth patterns, and improved global economic governance.

The president also called for an open world economy, and the promotion of inclusive growth by implementing the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
