Foreign countries reacted positively to the G20 summit hosted by China, saying the meeting offered fresh perspectives for the global economy.

Daniel Price served the Bush administration as an economic advisor. He attended the first G20 meeting in 2008. Price says the achievements made at the G20 summit in Hangzhou will have a sustained effect on the global economy.

The Hangzhou G20 has also been a buzzword in Latin America. Francisco Cafiero is the director of Argentina-based Center for Political and Economic Studies on China. He praised China for demonstrating its ability to address a global economic slowdown.

Cafiero said, “The global economy is facing a crisis of sluggish growth. The G20 in China was an important global political and economic forum. It is important because China drives the global economy. China has demonstrated its ability to deal with economic crisis in front of global leaders.”

The G20 summit also received wide attention in Africa. Algerian economist Ouada Yazid followed the meeting and said China has a clear vision for the global economy.

“China’s economic development is an open model. That means China is seeking to involve other countries in the process. It wants the whole world to be benefited from its development,” Yazid said.
