The Kyrgyz state security service has said the suicide bomb attack on the Chinese embassy in the capital was ordered by Uighur militants. These terrorists are active in Syria.

The bombing was carried out by a member of the East Turkestan Islamic Movement. The Chinese Foreign Ministry on Wednesday slammed the terrorists. An official says China will continue strikes on these terrorist forces.

"I want to stress that East Turkestan terrorist forces -- represented by the East Turkestan Islamic Movement -- have planned and carried out many terrorist incidents targeting China inside and outside the country. They have committed bloody crimes," said Hua Chunying, spokesperson of Chinese Foreign Ministry.

"We will firmly continue our strikes on these terrorist forces to ensure the safety of Chinese citizen's life and property. We will also continue enhancing our cooperation with Kyrgyzstan and the whole international community to fight against terrorism and safeguard the peace and stability of China, the region and the world."

The Chinese Embassy in Kyrgyzstan was attacked by a suicide car bombing on August 30th. An attacker detonated an improvised explosive device inside the car after the vehicle rammed through the embassy's western gate. The assailant was killed and five embassy staff were injured.
