2016 Rio Paralympics: Chinese breaks her own world record with 108kg overall

To Brazil to check in on the Rio Paralympics as China won 13 golds on Day Two of the Games to extend their lead at the top of the medal standings, finishing the day with 20 golds overall.

China's first victory of the day comes when powerlifter Hu Dandan prevails in the women's under 45kg division. The 27-year-old lifts 108 kilograms to beat her own world record and win gold. Nigeria's Latifat Tijani takes silver with a hoist of 106 kilograms while Great Britain's Zoe Newson claims bronze.

In the men's 100-meter backstroke, S2 category, Zou Liankang wins gold and breaks the world record. His compatriot Liu Benying grabs silver, and Ukrainian Serhii Palamarchuk bronze.

Another gold comes in the men's 50-meter freestyle, S7 category. China's Pan Shiyun passes Levgenii Bogdaiko of Ukraine in the final push to finish first, breaking the world record in the process as Bogdaiko takes the silver. China would finish the day with five gold medals in the pool.

China would also have a great day in track and field wining four gold medals. In the the women's 100 meters, T54 category, Liu Wenjun would cross the line first in less than 16 seconds with Tatyana McFadden of the USA in second and China's Li Yinjie taking bronze.

In shooting, China's Yang Chao dominates in the men's 10-meter air pistol, SH-1 category. Yang almost secures victory with two rounds left with a lead of over four points. He would hold on for the win and take the gold medal with ease. South Korea's Lee Ju Hee grabs silver.

In five a side football, China's men would face Spain in the preliminaries. It would be a close game with the deadlock broken by Wang Zhoubin when the Chinese cuts forward on the right and finds the corner of the net. A great bit of skill and China go on to win 1-0.
