Studio interview: AIIB & ASEAN connectivity

For more on this year's China-ASEAN Expo and the 13th China-ASEAN Business and Investment Summit, we are joined now in the studio by our current affairs commentator Victor Gao .

Q1: Bilateral trade between China and ASEAN has boomed over the past 25 years, and it rose to around 470 billion US dollars in 2015, a staggering jump from just 8 billion dollars in 1991. However Commerce Department data shows that from January to May this year, bilateral trade fell 7 point 1 percent. What’s the reason behind this decline?

Q2: China and ASEAN have a very important trade relationship. How do you see both sides coping with this decline in growth?

Q3: China has become the biggest source of tourists for ASEAN. What are the prospects of further cooperation in this area?

Q4:The China-led Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank now has 57 economies that have signed up as founding members, including all 10 ASEAN members. What does the AIIB mean for Asean connectivity?
