China's Foreign Ministry has said that sanctions alone won't solve the DPRK nuclear issue and that unilateral action can only lead to a dead end.
Asked to comment on US Defense Secretary Ashton Carter's claims that China has responsibility for the DPRK's nuclear test, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying said the crux of the issue lies with the United States.
Hua also said that the US should review how the DPRK'S nuclear program has developed and then seek effective solutions. Hua added that China has already made efforts to maintain peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula.
