DPRK nuclear program tops Inada's agenda

Inada's visit comes after the Democratic People's Republic of Korea's fifth and reportedly largest nuclear test, which has put Japan on high alert. CCTV's Terrence Terashima tells us what other topics, on top of the DPRK's nuclear program, will be dominating Inada's trip.

Japanese Defence minister left for the US early Thursday morning, She will be talking to her counter part Ashton Carter on a number of issues. First and foremost is the issue on DPRK missile and Nuclear testing, How Japan and US will coordinate in monitoring and security measures. As well as tighten the sanctions against DPRK after the recent nuclear test. Will also expected to talk about how Japan and US will cooperate on the issues on east China and South China seas. Another topic of high interest in Japan is the relocation of marine air base in Okinawa. Okinawa prefecture is in long dispute with the central government. But time is running out for US and Japan is finalising the relocation. As a part of which the two Defence chiefs are Expected to talk about the status of forces agreement. Which Okinawan see it as protecting US servicemen from being prosecuted in Japan, which might ease tensions in Okinawa.
