Chinese Premier Li Keqiang is on his way to New York for the U.N. General Assembly. He is expected to announce steps to help the international body address some of the world’s most pressing challenges. CCTV's U.N. correspondent has a preview of Premier Li's visit.

When Chinese Premier Li Keqiang is here at the U.N. this week, he's expected to attend a summit on refugees and migrants, a key theme during this General Assembly, for which U.N. chief Ban Ki-moon hopes to get wider international support.

Li may attend the Wednesday meeting on the Paris climate deal, recently bolstered by China’s ratification.

During his stay, he’s scheduled to hold talks with world leaders including the U.S. and other organizations to build stronger ties.

He arrives Sunday and will deliver his speech in the General Assembly on Wednesday.
