Nathan McKinnon and his teammates had their backs to the wall as they were forced into overtime by the Swedes, a loss and they would be out.

The teams are tied 3-3 after regulation, and the extra session is extra entertaining, as it's 3-on-3. North America have a glorious chance but Henrik Lundqvist makes a miraculous save on Connor McDavid. The Swede prolonging the game with the toe save. McDavid cannot believe it

Later on in the stanza, and the continentals are stopped on a 2-on-1, and the Swedes break out, Daniel Sedin all alone in the other end, but he is turned away by Jonathan Gibson on the doorstep -- and the play continues. The youngsters on the attack -- Ryan Nugent-Hopkins fires this puck high, but the Canadian wheels around to steal it back and pass it to Nathan MacKinnon, who makes 18 moves on Lundqvist and beats him backhand-shelf. North America wins a wild one 4-3 in overtime and stay alive in the tourney.

And Team Canada rolled to another victory. Jonathan Toews leading the way for the defending champions scoring twice in a 4-1 win over previously undefeated Team Europe. The Canucks are the only team in the tournament yet to lose a game, finishing the pool stage with a perfect three-and-oh record. Outscoring the opposition 14-3 in those three games.
