China's Mei Xiwen are now taking on Ryan Day in the second round of Shanghai Masters. The 33-year-old Mei eliminated two-time world champion Mark Williams on his way to this stage. Also in action now is Stephen Maguire who is facing Barry Hawkins. Stuart Bingham's rival is David Gibert. And Mark Selby is playing Stuart Carrington for a spot in the quarter-finals.

Meanwhile on Wednesday, World No.4 Judd Trump faced fellow Englishman Ben Woollaston for a spot in the second round. Taking the first frame 65-0, Trump continues to attack in the second. But the Juddernaut would falter as he misses this easy red.

But Woollaston has problems of his own. He misses this crucial black, to the surprise of many of the audience.

Trump would not hesitate to pocket the gift and seal the frame 68-58.

That would end any further resistance from Wollaston and Trump goes on to complete the sweep for a 5-0 victory. Trump will face Michael White later tonight.
